*Note on Date of Manufacture: The DOM Source shows the location where the owner found their date of manufacture. There are three possible locations:

1) "FCC" The FCC label on the back of the machine just below the backbox. This is the actual date of manufacture but as it is just a sticker, it is often illegible, not accessible, or has been removed. It is a five digit number where the first 2 digits are the year, and the last 3 are the day of the year. For example mine is 92208. Therefore mine would be the 208th day of 1992 or July 26, 1992. (Thanks to Bob G. for this info.) 1992 also was a leap year, therefore the extra day must be taken into account when calculating the DOM. (Thanks to James Okubo for reminding me) [picture]

2) "PF" There is also a date stamped on the front edge of the playfield that is generally pretty close to the actual date of finished assembly. The last date (there are sometimes 3 or 4, each stamped at a different point in assembly) is approximately one week before the game rolls off the line. Of course, if the playfield has been replaced, this dating method won't work too well... [picture]

3) "CD" The third and most unreliable location is on the coin door itself. Generally, this date is a month or more before the machine is completed, but as you can tell from the list, it may also be a month or more after the game is completed. [picture]
