Basic Builders

Includes 8 Access Basic Builders for Access 97.

Access Basic Code Builder: DoCmds/Functions/Statements Code builder. Add your own functions. Sets all the arguments for commands, gives you list boxes of object names for your database, sets all selected intrinsic values, gives syntax and examples of selected code and direct access to the Help for selected command.

Access Basic Comments Builder: If you like to make your comments stand out in code then it has been a long-standing practise to enclose the comments in a box. This builder takes the effort out of creating the box around your comments.

Access Basic SendKeys Builder: SendKeys is another command were the arguments passed can contain codes for certain key strokes (e.g. {f1}). If you don't know the code the usual solution is to look up the command in a manual or in the Access Help file. This Builder takes the effort out of this task by giving the user a form that looks very much like a keyboard.

Access Basic Module Builder: A good programming practise is to enter error-handling code and details about that procedure when you first create it. This builder takes the effort out of this task by adding header and footer code to your module when you first create it.

Access Basic SQL String Builder: When you paste an SQL string into Access Basic, it resides on one line and is very unpleasant to read. So we split up the code into more manageable bits. Run the string, save as a query or create a string from a query.

Access Basic Msgbox Builder: MSGBOX is probably one of the most used commands in VBA and is one of the most popular for Builder developers. This Builder is the Mother of all MsgBox builders and I hope contains everything a developer needs when adding MsgBox code.

Access Basic Code Library: Why write the same bit of code twice. This builder lets you record and re-use useful code by storing it in a Code Library. You can select the Code Library to paste code into your procedure or to copy code into the Library for future use.

Access Basic Recordset Builder: Opening a recordset? What type of recordset is required? What is the name of the table/query I am going to use? Index name for a Seek? Field names for update? If condition or Loop and 'With' block? This builder does it all and takes the effort out of accumulating the code.

Access Basic Field Mandatory Validation Builder: This builder will only work when called from a Module Design in a Form. It should be used in the Form Before Update Event. If you have a field/s on a form that you wish to make mandatory, then this builder will paste your defined code for you to use

MDBC Groups

A shareware collection of builders that assist the Access developer to produce Access Basic code in Modules, Form modules, or Report Modules.
