I am inquiring if The Light Opera Group of the Negev would be interested in a NEW MUSICAL:
We are looking for a theater interested in and capable of producing a NEW MUSICAL titled 21 Aldgate, a musical of London's East End during the Blitz of WWII. The cast and set requirements are similar to that of Oliver!
21 Aldgate is a finished product, score and book. Yes, we are aware that Lionel Bart attempted a musicalization of the Blitz. We think we've done better.
The story of the Blitz, while important for its own sake, is especially relevant today when it seems that our very civilization is under attack. The utter arbitrariness of bombs falling from the sky in WWII has been supplanted by human bombs seated next to us on a bus or in a restaurant today.
We can more than sympathize with the three generations of the Levy Family living in their flat above the Half-Moon Pub at 21 Algdate street and their story of courage and humor under fire.
A longer synopsis, song clips, and contact information can be found at the author's website

Thanks!
