Attended by the committee of four plus
four members. Chairman, Phil Hallam, opened the meeting at 13.37, thanked
everyone for attending and received apologies for absence from A Aird, D
McAllister, and H Mulholland.
Last year’s
minutes were accepted without comment or amendment. The Secretary reported
the usual correspondence with other clubs and Loch Management Group and
booked dates for next year’s Splash-in. Since the last AGM, 5 newsletters
have been sent out. Membership at year end was 35, down 2 since this time
last year, and all are SAA members. 18 members hold a safety scheme
certificate of some sort. Some website updating has been done but Alasdair
needs more help from someone more computer literate. The club held one
waterplane event this year in May, with a good turnout on the Saturday in
good weather but the Sunday was a washout.
The Treasurer
reported that the club’s finances were in a healthy situation given that no
major expenditure was envisaged, and so a reduction in club fees might
be in order.
The same
committee was re-elected:- Phil Hallam, Chairman; Jim Campbell Treasurer;
Alasdair Sutherland, Secretary and Membership Secretary; and Jim Deans
general purpose committee member, all re-elected unopposed.
The club fees
have been set at £1 for 2008 (Yes, one pound) with an additional £5
joining fee for new adult members. Please pay now to Treasurer Jim Campbell.
